You followed a link, or an answer pointed you here. You want to read this, now - but the only door is a full subscription to everything the site has ever published. You weren't looking for a relationship. You were looking for one story...
You'll pay for what you want. You just won't subscribe to everything to get it.
Meet Media BiteMedia Bite - the fastest way to get the content you want, when you want it. One Bite at a time.
(A Bite is just that: one piece of content - an article, a chapter, a video, a limited-time access - whatever you came for.)
Here's what that means for you.
All you want is this one thing. Now you can get just it -
- in two taps
- for about a buck
- anonymously
No subscription, instant access.
Who's behind Media Bite.
Media Bite built a piece of infrastructure the internet never had: a way to pay for a single piece of content, on its own, without signing up for anything. We started it because the web gave you two choices - subscribe to everything, or get nothing - and neither matched what people actually want.
So much of what matters comes down to a moment - the one thing you want to read, watch, or learn, right when you want it. For almost all of us, the only answer in that moment has been subscribe to everything or get nothing. It isn't that publishers and creators didn't want to offer more; no one had a way to sell that single moment securely and profitably. That's the problem we exist to solve.
We're Media Bite, Inc., a Delaware corporation. We work directly with publishers to bring pay-per-access to the sites you already visit. We don't sell ads, we don't build advertising profiles, and we never sell or share your personal information. We earn a small fee when you pay to access a Bite, and that's the entire business.
Questions or feedback? Email support@mediabite.com - we read every message and reply within one business day.
A web where you pay for only what you value.
Finally, the content you want, when you want it, without buying a subscription to reach it. As more publishers join, you'll find Bites in more of the places you already go: a search, a link a friend sent, a publisher's own site, an answer from an AI assistant. The value rides the link, so Media Bite isn't another place to visit. It's simply how you open the one thing you want, wherever you already are.
Three steps. That's the whole thing.
Find the content
You reach the one thing you want, behind a paywall you'd rather not move into.
Take a Bite
Two taps, about a buck. You pay to open just that one thing - no subscription.
Enjoy it
It opens right away, and you stay anonymous. That's the whole thing.
A Bite is the one thing you want in the moment.
Not a subscription. Not a bundle. Just what you want, and nothing more.
Today, two taps with Apple Pay or Google Pay.
While we build out the publisher network, that's the whole thing. Nothing to set up, nothing to sign up for.
Next comes the Media Bite wallet: one balance that works across every publisher. It is where this is going, and it is better in every way that matters to you.
The wallet is comingWhat the wallet gives you
Spend across every publisher from a single prepaid balance, instead of setting up and paying each time.
We never build a marketing profile of you, no marketing chases you afterward, and no publisher learns who you are unless you choose to tell them yourself.
Once you have an account, access to what you want is two clicks away - secure, anonymous, instant access.
See everything you've accessed and spent in one place, with any unspent balance still yours.
Send someone a Bite, or a little balance, so they can access something you think they'll love.
When your own spending on a publisher says a subscription would finally pay off, we'll point it out.
You stay anonymous to the publishers you're accessing.
No publisher learns who you are unless you decide to tell them yourself. They receive only a confirmation that a Bite was paid, never your name, your email, or a phone number. So there are no unwanted emails, no texts, and no one tracking what you read to follow you around later. The record that lets you pay stays on our side, anonymous and tied to no publisher you access content from. That isn't us knowing more about you. It's how the anonymity works: because we keep it, the publisher never has to, and your identity never crosses to them. Payments run through our payment partner, the trusted infrastructure behind Apple Pay and Google Pay. We never sell or share your personal information, and anything a publisher ever sees is aggregate, with no individual identifiable. If you ever choose to reach out to a publisher yourself, you decide exactly what to share, and nothing is sent until you send it. Only you can reveal you, and only if you want to. Your attention isn't the product. The one thing you came for is.
Quick answers.
The one thing you're on - this article, this chapter, this video, this figure - one time. Not a subscription, not a bundle. Just the thing you came for.
Never - that's the whole point. Right now you pay for the one thing with Apple Pay or Google Pay, in two taps. The Media Bite wallet is coming next, and it will make it simpler still.
Usually about a dollar. Each publisher sets the price for their own content, so it varies a little, but it's always pocket change for one thing, never a monthly commitment. You always see the exact price before you pay, and nothing is ever charged until you've seen the amount and tapped to confirm.
If a Bite doesn't open, you aren't charged for it. Bites you've already used are final, since you accessed the thing you paid for. When the wallet arrives, any unspent balance in it stays yours.
Just try again - it will work, and you're never charged twice for the same thing. You only ever pay once for what you actually access.
Yes. No publisher learns who you are unless you choose to tell them yourself. They receive only an anonymous confirmation that a Bite was paid. Your payment is processed securely by our payment partner, as with any purchase. We never build a marketing profile of you, and your personal information is never sold.
No. We don't collect your contact information to sell you a Bite, so there's nothing to add you to and no inbox full of offers afterward.
Most questions are answered right here. If a Bite didn't open, just try again - you're never charged twice. Still stuck? Email support@mediabite.com and we'll reply within one business day.
Just the one thing you want, the moment you want it.
The next time you hit a wall, you won't have to buy everything to access the one thing you want.
